I am Moreblessing Madzikatire, a Zimbabwean researcher and analyst with a passion for security, intelligence, and the politics of natural resources. I hold an International Master’s in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies (IMSISS), where my research focused on the governance of resource extraction and its impact on conflict and community resilience.
Professionally, I have worked with the National Peace & Reconciliation Commission of Zimbabwe and as a political and security analyst with Intelligensis, focusing on conflict dynamics across Africa. My expertise lies at the intersection of natural resources, governance, and security with a particular focus on how mining shapes political power, economic opportunity, and social tensions.
Through the Pan African Strategic Desk, I provide independent analysis on the complex relationship between mining, politics, and security in Africa. From lithium in Zimbabwe to gold in the Sahel, I explore how resource governance is shaping Africa’s future, while offering forecasts, insights, and strategies for decision-makers, investors, and citizens alike.
My mission is to bridge academic research with accessible insights, empowering audiences to understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and where it is heading.
